Boise - 88.7, 95.7 & Payette - 102.5 :
6/10/2009 Back On the Air
We realize it had been a few months since our stations in the Treasure Valley went off the air. A special thanks to our engineers who were able to get them back on today!
Mount Vernon, WA:
1/29/2009 Interference
A new 18,000 watt full-power station has been built in Vancouver, BC
(Canada) - on 88.1 FM.
Because our stations are licensed as translators, any other full power,
in the USA or Canada, is not required to protect our coverage area.
Therefore, we are obligated to change frequency, or modify the way our
station is broadcast, and not the other way around.
Our Mount Vernon station will be modified to 88.3 FM in the near
future, which should help reduce interference with the 88.1 station
coming from Canada, but the overall coverage of our station on 88.3
will be less than it originally was.
Kailua-Kona, HI (Big Island):
3/01/2008 Off-Air
The Effect will no longer be heard on 90.1 FM in Kailua-Kona, HI.
We may be able to put this station back on the air (possibly on a
new frequency), after the digital TV transition takes place on
February 17th, 2009.
2/10/2009 Update
Because the digital TV transition has been postponed to June 12th,
2009, it will now be sometime after June 12th that we might be
able to get our Kailua-Kona station back on the air.
4/16/2009 Update
We have applied for a license to broadcast on 91.7 FM in Kailua-Kona.
It will take a few months to get the application approved by the
FCC, and to put the station back on the air, but it is at least is very
hopeful that we will once again be able to broadcast in Kailua-Kona.
Missoula, MT:
7/01/2008 Off-Air
Our station in Missoula, MT is currently off-air. Previously on 90.3
FM, we are working on the details of broadcasting the Effect on 88.7 FM
in Missoula. We have been waiting on FCC approval to make the necessary changes
to broadcast The Effect on 88.7 FM, and our sister station, CSN International on 90.3FM.
We apologize for the prolonged outage, and thank you for your patience
as we resolve this issue.
Thank you!
